After being hired at Chas A Stevens, while studying painting and film making and photography at Chicago Academy of Fine Art, I was hired as a commercial photographer. The retail commuity was a very tight knit group, which opened doors for me to work for numerous retailers in downtown Chicago.

A year later, I opened my first studio at 17 North Wabash; the Shops Building. I stayed there for five years then moved to Greek town in the West Loop. The building was only the second loft rehab at the time. By then I had been shooting for bigger national clients like Sears and Montgomery Ward. The studio was Southward facing and sunbathed, making it somewhat of a prelude to Prairie Production and familiarizing me with the lighting I have been working with for almost 30 years.

During that time I met my beautiful wife Kristin, who at the time was a well-known commercial model. We married and a few years later had our first child, Ria. We soon found the building of our dream at 1314 Randolph. The client roster at the time had me shooting catalogs and fashion ads in New York, Los Angeles, and throughout the Caribbean for clients like Lands' End and Hart Schaffner and Marx. The studio has been a popular choice for clients from across the country, including nearly five hundred celebrities.

In 2001 we hosted our first wedding and a new chapter began. I shot my first wedding that year and have not looked back. I only shoot weddings that are hosted by Prairie Production as I feel each event deserves my full attention and support.
